XC MTB Racing for Under 16s on a short, fast course with all the elements needed in a mountain bike race of around 40 minutes duration. Fun, and flowing single track, some ups, some downs and plenty of space to overtake – it’s all crammed into a compact figure of eight course that features the bridge that’s at the centre of the Vittoria MTB Marathon.
The TrailX Youth Super Cup is the mountain bike event that appeals to all Under 16 riders, regardless of experience or ability – there is plenty to keep you smiling. There are separate races for Under 14 Girls, Under 14 Boys, Under 16 Girls and Under 16 Boys!
The Youth Super Cup takes place on an exciting and innovative course that features a purpose-built bridge in the centre of the event village making for a true figure of 8. This means that you pass through the arena area twice per lap so there is plenty of opportunity for banter and support from spectators.
Route details
Pippingford Park is a stunning 900+ acre private estate in the heart of the Ashdown Forest, East Sussex. Due to an historical law off-road cycling is banned in the public areas of the Ashdown Forest so we consider ourselves very lucky to be able to open this largely untouched area to Mountain Bikers at this event.
Expect a mix of thrilling singletrack, woodland trails and gravel roads. All totalling up to be a grin inducing 3km lap!
This is a British Cycling sanctioned race so all finishers will be awarded with national ranking points and British Cycling will ensure that the event is well officiated and fair, whilst making it fun for everyone.
