SouthernXC 2022

We’re working hard planning the 2022 series and once we have the venues and dates finalised we will update this page. In the meantime head over to our Facebook and Instagram pages and get involved with the SouthernXC community.

What is SouthernXC?

The SouthernXC MTB Race Series is a annual British Cycling reigonal championships that has a long history, stretching back for over 20 years.

All SouthernXC races are sanctioned by British Cycling and are run following their rules. You can read those here.

Each and every year the series entertains over 1000 riders, some of whom join us for their first competitive cycling experience after enjoying cross country mountain biking or trail centres like Swinley Forest and QE Country Park. Some of whom may have tried their hand at Enduro or DH in the past and others are XC racer types who have been racing with us for years.

SouthernXC Series points are awarded at every round, with your final series position being calculated on your best 4 out of 5 results. With the series taking place over a range of different courses, the series overall standings will reward the most consistent well rounded riders.

We welcome anyone from new cyclist’s enjoying their first mountain bike racing fix, to weekend riders looking for a competitive experience, all the way through to seasoned cross country racers back for another great year of mountain bike racing.

You’re are more that welcome to join us for as many rounds as you like, if you can only make one then that’s cool, it’ll be good to see you.
